After the time jump, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) is seen holding a support collective for those struggling after the Thanos snap, and Joe Russo has a cameo as one of the people attending the meeting.

He talks about going on a meeting, and as he uses ‘he’ pronouns to describe his love interest, it’s clear he is a gay man… but he’s never given a entitle , or more than a few seconds of screen time.

Still, Joe and Anthony thought this was a big step forward.

Joe told Deadline: ‘Representation is really important. It was important to us as we did four of these films, we wanted a gay nature somewhere in them. We felt it was important that one of us play him, to ens

Avengers Endgame directors hint Marvel will feature gay personality in next film

Avengers Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo have revealed that the Marvel Cinematic Space will soon to grab a major step for LGBTQ representation.

In an interview on a television display, they said that one of the characters will be revealed as lgbtq+ in one of the upcoming films and even hinted that it would be a person that fans are already familiar with.

This statement came after they were asked about the small role Joe played as a grieving man in a therapy session, that was meant to portray how usual people dealt with the loss of loved ones after Thanos's snap.

It was an integral scene to show how the society was reacting to what happened in at the end of Infinity War, Joe said.

When he was asked to clarify whether this was first openly gay character in a Marvel film, Joe said it indeed was.

Yes, openly gay, Joe emphasized. There’ve been insinuations about other characters’ sexuality, but this is the first openly gay character.

Who else is gay? The host asked,

Uhhh, Joe said. We’re gonna find out!

That’s a story for another day, Anthony said.

Chinese ‘Endgame’ Poster Features Valkyrie and the Fallen Avengers

The recent batch of Avengers: Endgame character posters confirmed that Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie would indeed drive again after sitting out all of Avengers: Infinity War. Valkyrie had previously been absent from all the earlier Endgame posters and trailers, but she now also appears on the very hip Chinese one-sheet for Endgame, which began popping up online today along with the news that the film would uncover in Chinese theaters on April 24 — take a look:

The full poster also includes the “fallen” Avengers, with Nick Fury (who was basically absent from Infinity War, minus one brief cameo) front and center, flanked by the likes of Star-Lord, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther and more. (And yes, Shuri is there too — her own character poster confirmed that everyone’s favorite Wakandan tech genius had died offscreen in Infinity War.) This is a really great poster, maybe better than all of the American ones so far.

The film’s official synopsis:

Joe and brother Anthony Russo, who directed Endgame, have also said that at least one of the existing characters in the Marvel cinematic existence (MCU) will be revealed as LGBT in the future.

In a US radio interview, the Russo Brothers said fans will detect who they're referring to in future movies.

"That's a story for another day," said Anthony.
