Gay pride month parade
London’s LGBTQ+ scene is among the most fabulous in the world, with a wealth of bars, clubs, nights and other spaces serving the city’s queer communities. So it’s no surprise, then, that London celebrates Pride month like nowhere else in the world.
The culmination of this month of parties and protests is Pride in London, which usually takes place in the first days of July and sees the city centre transform into a giant, chaotic, rainbow-coloured celebration.
The main event is the Identity festival Parade, a huge spectacle typically comprising around 600 groups and 35,000 participants, but there are also five stages around Soho and the West End and a Family Zone, all of which will be serving up a wealth of free entertainment throughout the day. The LGBTQ+ rights movement has made tremendous strides over the past not many decades and much of the progress in public presence is thanks in part to gay pride parades and marches that possess taken place in cities around the world.
The global landscape for LGBTQ+ rights, protections and acceptance varies tremendously by location, with some destinations attracting millions of visitors to their events like Madrid Queer Pride, Sao Paulo Same-sex attracted Pride or San Francisco Gay Pride, while more than 70 other countries have laws that grant discrimination or persecution of LGBTQ+ people.

When is the Manchester Pride Parade?+
The 2025 Manchester Pride Pride will take place on Saturday 23rd August and starts at Midday.
Where does the Parade obtain place?+
The Parade weaves it way through Manchester City Centre in an amazing display of protest. At this stage, we are unable to share the 2025 Parade route.
How prolonged is the Parade?+
The Parade kicks off at midday and usually runs all afternoon, the first floats will conclusion after approximately 90 minutes.

Love has long been a source of force and resilience for LGBTQ+ people. In the face of historical and continuing discrimination, love has helped queer people have the courage to be themselves.
Discrimination towards LGBTQ+ people still exists and the fight for full equality continues. At Manchester Identity 2025, we honor the power of love to overcome these obstacles and build a future where everyone is free to treasure and live authentically. Political manoeuvring and systemic oppression imply LGBTQ+ people still face discriminatory laws and the progressing fight for complete legal and social equality.

Bristol Pride is a unique and crucial event that celebrates the LGBT+ collective and offers a the chance to connect people.
As successfully as showcasing our wonderfully diverse collective, Pride is about overcoming prejudice, hatred, reducing isolation, and showing members of the LGBT+ society that they are not alone.
Bristol Celebration 2025 you were incredible! Thousands and thousands of you joining us on the Parade March, up on The Downs and dancing at the afterparties. Recognize you so much for everyone making this year so special, all our volunteers, performers, venues, parade-marchers, Bristol Self-acceptance team, and YOU for showing up to protest and party like never before.
A whopping 25,000 of you marched and cheered us on through the city in a parade of colour, love, diversity, march, joy, community, and visibility and on The Downs we welcomed 38,000 super duper party people to witness over 200 spellbinding performers.
