All my jewellery is homemade and designed by myself so generally most items are one off or of very limited quantity. Each item is made with care and to a high standard but please be aware that some items have petite parts which can get loose over time.
I am proud of and passion every piece I form and would gladly wear any of them (but then I'd have nothing to offer and would run out of space! I can't keep them all!). Please give this piece a new house before someone else does.

If I could go support 14+ years to say my closeted and nervous, high school self that in the future I’d be writing an article explaining what a stud is — I would tell me to firstly keep it down, and secondly to just intimate message me on Myspace (or email me at [email protected]) to continue this conversation.

The early aughts were a wild and thrilling time. The internet was getting more social with more websites, forums, and communities popping up every day exposing me to new queer worlds I could explore in the semi-privacy of my place. As much as I obsessed over any gender non-conforming content I could spot, I still felt unattached due to the lack of Black queer women — especially masculine spotting ones. There were Shadowy entertainers like Queen Latifah and Da Brat, that I thought might be queer, and I watched films like Stranger Inside and connected slightly with the character Treasure played by Yolanda Ross; but those artists weren’t confirmed queer at the period, and Treasure was a fictional person — so I still felt that queer disconnect.

It wasn’t until I started high academy in the fall of 2003 that I saw openly queer, masculine Jet women in person. I went from not knowin

Stem Lesbian Meaning

Wondering what a stem sapphic is? It’s adorable simple once you break it down. In the LGBTQIA+ community, a stud is often considered a Black sapphic who dresses and generally is more masculine, while a femme is a lesbian who dresses and is more feminine. Therefore, stud + femme = stem.

As mentioned earlier, the word “stem” originated (and is reserved for) from Black and Latinx communities. Some folks call stem lesbians “soft butch” as they tend to possess some of the more masculine qualities of traditionally butch lesbians, but offset it with a touch of femininity.

What does a stem lesbian mean?

In the LGBTQ+ people context, a stem or stem woman loving woman is a Inky or Latinx gay person who is both a “stud” and “femme.” The best of both worlds!

It’s basically a racially-specific version of “futch” (a combo of “femme” and “butch”).

What is the history of the word “stem”?

“Stud” is a term that dates back to the 1960s and was used as a synonym for “butch” in the Black and Latinx communities. Butch typically means a more masculine-leaning person in terms of way and energy. A “femme” person is more feminine-leaning in style island e
