Pittsburgh Equality Center requires all volunteers to accomplish the form (click the "Volunteer" link) below.

If you plan to do any youth programming, we are required for you to submit clearances for us to hold on record. You will need to:
- complete the Criminal Background (click on "New Volunteer Tape Check"),
- PA Child Maltreatment History Clearance (e-mail info@pghequalitycenter.org and we'll mail you a volunteer code; you'll click "Create Individual Account" (or login if you have an account already) and use the code we provided), and
- FBI Fingerprinting (if asked, apply code: 1KG6ZJ) clearances to volunteer.
Your clearances are effective for five years, so if you hold done any of these clearances in the past five years, those should be valid. You can email them along to info@pghequalitycenter.org so that we can update your clearances in our volunteer database.

Allies for Health and Well-Being
To improve health and wellbeing, Allies provides integrated medical care, supportive human services, and community-based education for individuals living with, or at risk of HIV, viral hepatitis, and sexually transmitted infections. Learn more about Allies for Health and Well-Being.
Gay, Lesbian, and Unbent Education Network (GLSEN)
Pittsburgh’s GLSEN is located downtown on Grant Street. This company focuses on educating students about the issues surrounding the LGBT community. It also works to ensure a protected learning environment for all students in schools regardless of their sexual orientation. The Pittsburgh group is a chapter of the national GLSEN organization. Gay and Lesbian Neighborhood Progress Association (GLENDA)
GLENDA is a Pittsburgh-based corporation with the purpose of providing volunteer services with a message of diversity and inclusion. The group, made up of LGBT and straight individuals, is located on Grant Street downtown.

LGBTQ+ Youth Prom: We Exist–A Cryptid Convening!
No demand to lurk in the shadows–join us for an evening of high strangeness and unlimited fun as we present our 11th annual LGBTQ+ Youth Prom: We Exist–A Cryptid Convening! Whether your outfit takes inspiration from your favorite unproven creature or you prefer traditional prom attire, we invite you to celebrate your existence at our gathering of Bigfeet, Mothfolk, and other yet-to-be-discovered beings. As the largest affirming prom in Southwestern Pennsylvania, we are pleased to offer this inclusive party that provides every young person the chance to make their prom night a treasured memory. Prom is open to all youth ages 13-18 regardless of how they identify and includes dinner, dancing, art activities and much more.
Teens who be present one of our remaining LGBTQ+ Youth Prom Planning Meetings will receive two reserved tickets.
